Neil has a diverse background with almost 25 years in mergers and acquisitions, executive management, consulting and operational experience. In his early career, Neil was a management consultant at SRI (formerly Stanford Research Institute) International and then an SRI spin-off consulting firm where he focused on developing strategic recommendations for numerous clients in the biotech, medical device, and material technology industries.  Subsequently, Neil managed a manufacturing portfolio company of Jefferies Capital Partners where he led the company’s swift turnaround. During his ownership, Neil acquired two strategic companies and led the sale of the company.

Neil has started and sold several companies he has co-founded: one in manufacturing in the transportation industry, an online education company, and a venture-backed DNA sequencing startup.

Neil regularly gives speeches and presentations to CEO and industry groups nationwide and is regularly quoted in Inc, Entrepreneur, Businessweek, Forbes and the Silicon Valley Business Journalregarding M&A and increasing private company value.  He also teaches a course at Stanford on mergers and acquisitions and mentors startups in accelerating growth.  Neil has been named a top 40 Under 40 by The M&A Advisor.

Neil has a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego and has lived in Japan and conducted extensive business in India, China and Latin America. Neil is a member of the ProVisors, the Menlo Park Rotary Club, and the Band of Angels.

Neil is also a Managing Director at Shoreline Partners.
